CDN (Content Delivery Network)
A network of servers worldwide that delivers your website from the location closest to each visitor.
Definition
A CDN (Content Delivery Network) is a system of servers spread across the globe that stores copies of your website's images, videos, and code. When someone visits your site, the CDN serves the content from the server nearest to them, not from your main hosting server in another state or country. The result: your site loads faster, handles traffic spikes without crashing, and is more resilient to attacks. CDNs like Cloudflare are often free or cheap and are practically required for any modern business site. We include CDN setup with our plans on /pricing.php.
Why it matters in Miami
Miami businesses serving customers across Florida, the Caribbean, and Latin America benefit enormously from a CDN — a Hialeah travel agency's site can load just as fast for a client in Bogotá or San Juan as it does in Westchester. Without a CDN, international visitors abandon slow pages.
Example
A Miami Beach boutique selling swimwear to Latin America activates Cloudflare CDN; load times in Colombia drop from 5 seconds to under 1.5, and checkout completions rise 22%.
