Indexing

The process of Google adding your page to its giant library so it can show up in search results.

Definition

Indexing is when Google reads your page, understands it, and stores it in its database so it can appear in search results. If a page is not indexed, it does not exist as far as Google is concerned — no matter how beautiful it looks. You can check indexing status inside Google Search Console, which will tell you if pages are indexed, blocked, or marked as duplicates. Common reasons pages don't get indexed: a wrong robots.txt rule, a "noindex" tag left from staging, thin content, or simply being new and not yet discovered. Indexing audits are standard inside our SEO packages.

Why it matters in Miami

We regularly find Miami small businesses paying for SEO while half their service pages are not indexed at all — usually due to a single technical setting nobody noticed. Fixing indexing alone often doubles organic traffic in 30 days.

Example

A Wynwood gallery wonders why their new exhibit page gets zero traffic. We check Search Console — the page says "Discovered but not indexed." After a sitemap resubmit and content boost, it ranks in week two.
