Knowledge Panel
The information box Google displays on the right side of search results for a brand, person, or place.
Definition
The Knowledge Panel is the big sidebar that appears when you search a known business, celebrity, or landmark — with logo, hours, address, reviews, and social links. Google builds it from your Google Business Profile, Wikipedia, structured data on your site, and trusted directories. For a small business, your Knowledge Panel is basically your free billboard on Google. You earn one by claiming your Business Profile, keeping your name/address/phone identical everywhere, and adding schema markup. Help on /pricing.php.
Why it matters in Miami
When a Miami customer searches your business name, the Knowledge Panel is what they see first — often before your own website. Inconsistent listings between English and Spanish directories can split it into two weak panels instead of one strong one.
Example
A Brickell sushi restaurant fixed conflicting addresses across Yelp, TripAdvisor, and OpenTable. Within 5 weeks Google merged everything into one Knowledge Panel showing reviews, menu, and reservation link.
