GTM (Google Tag Manager)

A free Google tool that lets you add and manage tracking codes on your site without editing the code yourself.

Definition

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free tool that acts like a control panel for all the tracking codes on your website: GA4, Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, LinkedIn Insight, phone-call tracking, and so on. Instead of having your developer paste each new snippet into the site every time, you install GTM once and then manage every tag from a clean dashboard. It saves time, reduces site-speed problems caused by sloppy code, and lets a marketer add new tags without breaking the website. It is the standard for serious analytics setups. We install it on every build we do — see pricing.

Why it matters in Miami

Most Miami small businesses end up with 5-8 tracking codes (Meta, TikTok, GA4, Google Ads, a chat widget, a heatmap), and pasting them by hand slows the site down and breaks mobile speed scores. GTM keeps the site fast for the mobile-first Hispanic audience.

Example

A Coral Way bakery uses GTM to fire a Meta Pixel purchase event every time someone completes an online cake order, without touching the website code.
